DOGMA (1999)

Wayward angels Bartleby (Ben Affleck) and Loki (Matt Damon), exiled in Wisconsin for millennia, discover that a New Jersey church holds the theological key to their getting back into Heaven. Problem is, if they succeed, all of God's creation will be obliterated. Writer/director Kevin Smith's off-the-wall satire follows a quirky band of crusaders-from an abortion clinic worker (Linda Fiorentino) and a "13th apostle" (Chris Rock) to the ubiquitous Jay and Silent Bob-trying to keep the angels from reaching their goal.
