In rural Japan, the survivors of a tragedy converge and attempt to overcome their damaged selves, all while a serial killer is on the loose.

The winner of two prestigious awards at the 2000 Cannes Film Festival, the FIPRESCI Prize and the Prize of the Ecumenical Jury,  this is an extraordinary opus from director Shinji Aoyama, described as “unique and harrowing” by the Chicago Tribune.
