"A film of marked originality and frequent brilliance"- Thomas Curtiss, The New York Times
When production wraps on a Hollywood western shooting in a remote Peruvian village, stuntman Kansas (Dennis Hopper) stays behind, attempting to find redemption in the isolation of Peru and in the arms of a former prostitute (Stella Garcia). But when the locals begin to take over the abandoned set to stage a ritualistic re-enactment of the production, Kansas soon realizes he’s been cast as their sacrificial lamb. Widely unseen for over 50 years, director Dennis Hopper’s radical, much-mythologized lost masterpiece has been restored in 4K from the original 35mm camera negative and sound elements.

- New 4K restoration from the original camera negative
