LIFE IS CHEAP BUT TOILET PAPER IS EXPENSIVE (1989)
A scathing new black comedy from the director of "Dim Sum" and "Chan Is Missing"
A man (Spencer Nakasako) from San Francisco is approached by gangsters who ask him to take a briefcase to their boss (Lo Wai) in Hong Kong. The man dubs himself "The Man with No Name" and departs with the case attached to his arm. When he arrives, he's promptly robbed and, unable to rendezvous with the boss, comes across a strange assortment of characters, which include his dancing uncle, Cheng (Cheng Kwan Min), a blasé prostitute and the boss's right hand man (Lam Chung).
