RANDOM HARVEST (1942)

Academy Award winners Greer Garson and Ronald Colman star in a tale of love found, lost and found again in the heart-wrenching Random Harvest. At the close of World War I, a shell-shocked soldier (Colman) leaves a London sanitarium with no memory of his identity or his life before the War. He falls in love and marries Paula (Garson), starts a family and leads a quiet life as a writer. But while away from home, he is hit by a car and regains his memory of everything before the war--but loses his memory of Paula--and returns to his previous, wealthy life. Paula eventually finds him, but advised by psychiatrists not to shock him again, she takes a job as her husband's secretary. Now Paula aches for the man she loves ... a man who doesn't remember her but who finds himself unexpectedly falling in love with the wife he no longer knows.
