Indie cult veteran J.R. Bookwalter (The Dead Next Door, Robot Ninja, Ozone) returns to the director's chair after a 23-year absence with Side Effects May Vary, a 'ripped from the headlines' sci-fi/horror throwback inspired by '70s monster movie drive-in classics like The Incredible Melting Man! With the world gripped by a deadly pandemic, science denier Glenn Rollins turns to an experimental vaccine as treatment for a lingering sickness. Much to the surprise of his doctor, wife, and friends, the remedy immediately fixes what ails him.
