International rock sensation Lola Rain has long hidden her dark personal life of substance abuse and cheap sex. As this downward spiral threatens to overcome her success, Lola's  husband/manager Luke Frame becomes exceedingly concerned about his own reputation. He thus hatches a plan for her to "accidentally" overdose, rationalizing that her death will cause him less bad press than poor reception to her concerts. Following her demise, Luke is wracked with guilt, for committing the murder and for having gotten away with it. Plagued by  nightmares and isolated by his crime, Luke's descent begins to mirror that of Lola, and  threatens his sanity. But Luke is suddenly revitalized by the arrival of a mysterious young hitchhiker named Terry. Hoping that Terry will be the key to his redemption, he also fears that Terry could be the reincarnation of Lola seeking vengeance. A gripping, lovesick ghost story, Cecil Howard’s final theatrical feature film STAR ANGEL is an intensely personal meditation on fame and guilt. Starring Jerry Butler (Raw Talent),  Colleen Brennan (aka Sharon Kelly; Taboo III), Chelsea Manchester (aka Tigr; Scoundrels) along with the film's namesake, the incomparably beautiful Angel (Too Naughty to Say No) as Terry. Adapted from a delicately crafted screenplay by Howard’s long-time writing  collaborator, Anne Randall (Firestorm) along with prolific journalist R. Allen Leider  (Liquid Assets), Command Cinema is proud to present the Blu-ray debut of this dually  haunting and heartfelt hardcore classic, newly restored from its best surviving film elements.
