They delve into the lives of four suspects, each of whom has a history with the victim. Juliet Cooper (Victoria Hamilton), lecturer at a prestigious university, is dealing with her troubled teenage daughter while fending off a serious complaint at work. Melinda Ricci (MyAnna Buring) has left London behind, returning to Ireland to become a correspondent for a populist news channel, while caring for her recently paralyzed fiancée. Asif Syed (Elham Ehsas) has been working as an interpreter since escaping Afghanistan, attempting to help other refugees who weren't as fortunate. And Marty Baines (Maximilian Fairley), isolated and vulnerable due to his autism, is drawn in by the most hateful aspects of online culture, even as he tries to care for his homebound mother.
